Counties 3 Tribute Somerset South: Burnham on Sea Seconds 31-24 Bridgwater and Albion RFC Seconds
Bridgwater and Albion Seconds travelled away to face their Burnham on Sea counterparts on a wet pitch at the BASC ground at Stoddens Road.
Bridgwater spent the first 20 minutes of the game in the Burnham half and were rewarded when Rory Hobbs went over for an unconverted try.
The hosts then came back into the game and scored a converted try. Burnham extended their lead with an unconverted try making it 12-5 to the hosts.
Bridgwater were reduced to 14 players when Josh Parker was shown a yellow card and during his absence the hosts scored another try making it 17-5 at half time
The visitors started the second half strongly when Rory Hobbs went over for his second which Ollie Phillips converted to bring Bridgwater to within a try of their hosts.
However soon after Burnham went over for another try that was duly converted.
Good pressure from Bridgwater resulted in a try for Simon Buck , which Ollie Phillips converted to bring the arrears back to five points.
Burnham however came back strongly and went over again with a converted try to make it 31-19.
However the Bridgwater Boys were far from done and with the last play of the game Rory Hobbs went over to get his third and hat-trick try to earn the visitors two losing bonus points as the game ended 31-24.
