Western League Division One: Cheddar 1-2 Middlezoy Rovers

Middlezoy Rovers earned an impressive away win at the weekend against Cheddar in the Toolstation Western League Division One.

The match ended 1-2 in favour of the Rovers as they overturned a first half deficit to win the match late on.

It was a good game for the neutral as both sides played some expansive football in parts.

The hosts took the lead in the 28th minute when Lewis Chappell finished a well worked team goal for 1-0.

That was the score at half time as it was an uncharacteristic poor half from Middlezoy.

In the second period they improved greatly as they created plenty more chances, one of which was headed home by Acey Mead in the 70th minute.

Greg Turner had to make a remarkable save to keep the scores level as Cheddar fought back but then in the 89th minute, Liam Winter converted a penalty to give Middlezoy the win.
