Counties 3 Tribute Somerset South: Bridgwater & Albion II 21-54 Hornets III
BRIDGWATER & Albion RFC Seconds were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at the hands of league leaders Hornets Thirds at the weekend.
The match in the Counties Three Tribute Somerset South finished 21-54 in favour of the Hornets as Albion were outdone.
Despite the scoreline, Bridgwater did put together some good passages of play in the match and took the game to the Hornets, however the visitors were too good.
The match was played in difficult muddy conditions in Bridgwater and the home crowd were able to stay dry for the majority.
The result keeps Hornets Thirds in top spot on the league table while Bridgwater sit in ninth place but with four games left to play, they can climb further up the table before the season ends.
Up next for Albion Seconds is an away trip to take on Tor RFC on Saturday, March 1 for a 2.30pm kick off.
