THERE was just two games to report on from the Bridgwater Sunday League at the weekend as more poor weather ruled a lot of games unplayable.

However, in the two games played, there was nine goals scored, further proving the high-scoring nature of this competition.

To start, New Foresters defeated Nether Stowey Sunday at home 4-1 in their match at the weekend.

The big win for the hosts sees them lock down third place in the table and moving closer to the top two.

Those top two were in action against one another on Sunday just gone and the match finished in Ramblers favour.

Playing at home, league leaders Spirit FC were beaten 1-3 by Ramblers in what was a very tough and gruelling fixture.

Jack Taylor scored Spirit's sole goal in the defeat and despite losing they remain in top spot on the league table.

They are currently five points clear over Ramblers however they have two games in hand so there is plenty to play for in the upcoming games.
