BRIDGWATER & Taunton College (BTC) student Isaac Finch has signed a two-year scholarship with Bristol City FC.
The 16-year-old goalkeeper has been with Team BTC since the start of his college journey and has credited the program with his speedy development.
He said: "Team BTC have been instrumental in allowing me to pursue my education while fully committing to football.
"This was my dream from a very young age, to be a footballer and my journey has just started again. This is now going to encourage me to play as well as I can, work hard and make everyone at Team BTC even more proud of my progress."
Mo Hopkins, Men’s Football Performance Lead at BTC, has witnessed Isaac's development from a promising young talent to a standout performer.
He said: "I’ve seen Isaac grow since he was twelve, through district and county teams to our U18 league. His hard work, dedication, and exceptional performances, notably in the FA Youth Cup and senior appearances, have rightly earned him this opportunity with Bristol City.
"Many people have supported and watched him grasp this opportunity with two hands and wish him the very best moving forward."
