Regional 2 Tribute South West: Sidmouth 43-14 North Petherton
NORTH Petherton RFC played their last game of the 2023/24 season at the weekend and it ended in defeat to Sidmouth RFC.
It was always going to be a tough game against the league leaders and such it proved as with this win, Sidmouth claimed the Regional Two Tribute South West championship.
For North Petherton, the defeat sees them end this mixed campaign in seventh place on the league table.
They fought hard in this match but Sidmouth showed why they are the league champions as they played some really strong expansive rugby.
After the match, a spokesperson from Sidmouth RFC said: "Our 1st XV played their last game of the season and ended the league in style with another win, champions of the Regional 2 Tribute South West league and promoted to level 5 next season."
North Petherton: Jayden Courtenay-Robin, Zak Evans, Damian Griffin, Harry Saunders, Declan Bellamy, Jack Rees, Adam Conybeare, Harry Love, Lachlan Doyle, Lewis Phillips, Peter Paramore, Lucas Megaw, Joshua Luke, Oliver Washer, Bailey Orlowski.
