THE Dave Hartley Texas Scramble competition at Enmore Park Golf Club on Sunday was keenly contested and at the end, three teams returned with 55.

After count back however it was Jack Dray, Andy Epps, Curtis Ricketts and Adam Wright who were the winners ahead of second placed Dan Andison, Ben Kingston, Dylan Nyce and George Salter, while third place was claimed by Martin Acland, Robert Acland, Ben Filer and Mike Rossiter.

Tuesday’s Summer League (Week 4) played over the front nine holes, was won by Neil Wicks with 22 points, one ahead of second placed Karl Eastwood, and Yvonne Deeble who was third on 20.

The Ladies Dickinson Medal qualifier over 18 holes on Wednesday was won by Julie Blumgart with 75, one ahead of Jackie Woodman who scored 76.

Two players scored 77 but following count back it was Alison Marchant who was third and Julie Stafford was fourth.

The Ladies Individual 9 Hole Stableford was won by Anne Elliott-Rose after count back edged her in front of Hazel Percy after both scored 18 points, Linda Anniss was third with 25 points.

The Weekend Ladies Medal Dickinson qualifier saw two players tied at the top of the scoreboard on 76, but after countback it was Joy Mac Connachie was was the winners just ahead of Joanne Wyatt, with Suzanne Boydell third on 78.

Enmore Park Seniors welcomed Henbury for an afternoon that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. The Henbury team were very complimentary about the course and won 5-1.

The Seniors made the trip to play at Churston where they were greeted by a great course, good company and views of the sea.

Enmore lost 5-1 with the winning pair being Jeff Saunders with Dave Cousins. The nearest the pin winner for the visitors was Howard Mathers.

A mixed Enmore team hosted Honiton for a great day’s golf in the sunshine. Played as a greensomes at the end of the match the hosts were the winners five and a half to two and a half.

The members at Enmore Park Golf Club are mourning the passing of Mike Perry following a short illness.

During a long time association with the Club, Mike was a previous Seniors' Captain and an integral part of the club for many years helping juniors, seniors and charities with dedication. Mike will be much missed by everyone who knew him.
