Bridgwater suffered final heartache on WEPL T20 finals day.

In the second Semi Final versus Potterne, Bridgwater were inserted on a slow pitch with huge boundaries but still managed to score 155-8.

A measured innings of 56 from Charlie Sharland, supported by some hard hitting from Carlos Brathwaite (26) and Ryan Thorpe (25) saw them reach a respectable total, despite good spells from Rory little (2-11) and Adam Tuck (2-18).

In reply, Potterne recovered well from a perilous 32-4, as Jack Bramwell (61) and Josh Kelly (44) added 102 to get their team within sight of victory, before some tight bowling at the death from max Toohey (1-16) and Brathwaite (1-28) supported by Matt Burton (2-21) saw their team to a nervy 7 run win.

In the final, Bridgwater were again inserted but struggled on the slow pitch against Bristol's four spinner attack, only reaching a below par 115-8.

Brathwaite (22), Harminder Singh (19), Seth Locke (17no), Mike Coles (16) and Sharland (15) all made starts but none could post a sizeable total.

Bristol made batting look very easy in reply, unfortunately, aide by some indifferent bowling and several uncharacteristically dropped catches, with Sam Bracey (75no) the benficiary.  He was supported by Nic Halstead Cleak (30no) as the pair took their team home in the 18th over.

Only Max Toohey bowled to his normal standards in what was a well below performance from a Bridgwater team that have been very strong in T20 cricket this season.
