Enmore Park hosted Lady Captain’s Day turned out to be another special golfing occasion.The lady captain Tina Morgan arrived at the golf club to find her buggy decorated in Hawaiian themed regalia, including a surfboard on the roof! 

The competition was entered by over 50 ladies who all joined into the spirit of the day dressing in brightly coloured Hawaiian costumes, it was amazing to see the riot of colour across the course. 

The competition, a team of three waltz, was won by Janet Hambly, Angie Bowden, and Marilyn Turrell with 70 points who won the Lady President’s Putter, edging ahead of Eileen Binding, Sue Hockley and Mary Rayment on count back. 

The nine-hole competition was won by Carolyn Blackwood, Rosemary Harris and Lynn Slocombe with 27 points. 

The competition was followed by an evening meal in the clubhouse which was decorated in line with a Hawaiian beach theme. All the ladies had a great evening filled with fun and laughter as well as having an outstanding buffet.

Enmore Seniors had a busy couple of days with an away match at Bristol & Clifton and a home fixture against Oake the following day. A good showing from the Enmore team resulted in both matches resulting in a 3-3 draw.

The annual match between Enmore and Oake Manor was played on Sunday 7 July 2024 at home. Eight pairs played and Enmore were successful in the 4BBB competition winning 5.5 to 2.5.

The Ladies Brown Trophy on Wednesday was won by Suzanne Boydell with 70, two better than second placed Anita Leng, while Nanette Moore claimed third on 73.

The Ladies Individual Stableford 9 Hole competition was won by Fiona Ryan with 20 points, Tina Morgan was second with 19 and Susan Hockley third with 18.

Neil Wicks was the winner of Tuesday’s Summer League Week 12 competition with 22 points, one ahead of Simon Kellaway who enjoyed the same advantage over third placed Ed Boyce.

Sunday’s Mixed Leonard Cup, a foursomes competition that was enjoyed by all participants  was won by Angie Bowden and Colin Galbraith with an impressive 43 points, five clear of second placed Alison Greenslade and Steve James, with Martyn and Tracey Clapp third on 37.

The Club Medal Including the Gents King Flag Competition on Saturday  ended in a three way tie, but following countback it was Matt Hughes who was the winner, Tony Brooks was second and Riza Terzi third after they all carded 68. 

The Senior’s Open that took place on a wet and blustery day, attracted 160 entrants at the end of which. Chris Hughes from Tiverton Golf Club with a superb 45 points claimed the overall win.

The best performances from Enmore Park Golf Club players saw Kevin Lewis third in Division One with 38 points, Mick Bird runner up in Division Two also with 38, while Derek Norman took top place in Division Three with 41.
