The Kinerseley Trophy the annual match between the men and ladies took place at Enmore Park Golf Club last weekend.

Always a well fought match with rivalry always at the forefront of the competition the match between the lower handicap ladies and men of took place in beautiful sunshine.

The course was in fabulous condition and the match was closely contested with the women retaining the trophy narrowly beating the men four games to three. It was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion-what better way could there be to spend a Sunday.

The previous day a hugely successful and enjoyable Club Charity Day took place in aid of Friends of Somerset Young Carers, which saw 200 golfers taking part.

The weather was good the course was in great condition and looked amazing with 16 of the holes sponsored with local businesses hanging out their banners and flags to make a difference to young carers in Somerset.

There were fun Olympic themed events for everyone as well as nearest the pin and spot prizes.

A stunning table of raffle prizes, donated by members of the club, added to the occasion and raised over £1000.

A massive thank you goes to all who took part by sponsoring, donating, buying and playing as well as the army of helpers and volunteers that made the event run so smoothly, ensuring everyone had a good time.
