The tide began to turn when Pope trapped the more patient Mortimer LBW in the 6th over. A few Hackett boundaries later and Brockwell ad his first of the innings trapping the incoming batter LBW.
Temple Cloud were 47 for 2 from 11 overs.
A double change in the bowling saw Everett and De Zoysa introduced. The change to spin slowed up the scoring rate and crucially De Zoysa bowling Hackett for 43 in his 2nd over.
Shortly after Everett had Curtis caught by Lowe with the score on 86. Without any addition to the score De Zoysa removed the very dangerous Croker with Pigden taking the catch behind the stumps.

After tea Everett and Anning opened up and took 20 from Crokers first 3 overs. This removed the threat from the innings as the dangerous bowler would not return. Diaper was more accurate until his 4th over which went for 15 and that saw him removed from the attack.
Wembdon had reached 50 in the 8th over and didn't stop there taking 12 from Hackett's first over and 11 from his 2nd.
It would be Temple Clouds 6th option who would get the breakthrough trapping Everett LBW for 30. A match defining stand of 87 for the first wicket in 13 overs was quite the statement from the league leaders.
Anning then took 14 from Head's second over to bring up consecutive half centuries but Head would remove Anning (59) and Puddy (7) in consecutive overs but this introduced Trunks who quite simply went into overdrive.
Trunks striking 42 from just 18 deliveries, De Zoysa 7 not out while Trunks finished the game in style with his 4th maximum Wembdon reaching the target in the 23rd over and in under 90 minutes.
