Enmore Park Golf Club Ladies played an 18-hole Texas Scramble on Wednesday. Two teams finished six shots ahead of the rest on 69.

However, following the countback, the trio of Alison Greenslade, Christine Lewis, and Shanni Whisler came out on top courtesy of their gross 41 on the back nine, which was two better than the team of Elizabeth Ratcliffe, Nicola Thompson, and Tracy Waring, who were edged into second.

The nine-hole event was won by Miriam Batchelor, Paula Kilpatrick, and Christine Pashley on nett 35, winning by three.

Russell Cross won last Saturday's Pro Shop Stableford with 40 points, one ahead of Rob Chilcott with 39, while Rob Wright was third with 38.

Congratulations to Derek Norman on winning the Leffman Cup (over 55s) with a fine 43 points in lovely autumn conditions.

However, it wasn't just the sun that was shining as Derek charged around the front nine in 23 points, including five pars. He held his nerve on the back nine with 20 points to win the competition by three points over the steady Martyn Acland, whose 40 points came via a superb gross 74. Plus, he was level par after nine holes.

Steve Palmer scored 43 points to win the Club Stableford by eight points over Neil Wicks.
