Enmore Park Golf Club welcomed Saunton GC for the annual mixed team match between the two sides.

Despite the weather, which included heavy downpours, all players enjoyed their games. At the end of the day, Enmore Park ended up winning 6-2.

The fixture is a great opportunity to renew friendships and enjoy a fun social time over a good meal.

Enmore Seniors travelled to Budleigh Salterton on Monday to take on East Devon. The weather forecast for the day was awful, but apart from a short shower before play commenced, it remained dry, much to the relief of all players.

The match resulted in a 5- 1 victory for the home team. Keith Norcutt and Gordon Baxter, who also won nearest the pin, were Enmore's winning pairs.

Andrew Criddle, with 42 points, won the Combined Pro Shop Stableford. Colin Galbraith took second place with 40, while Russell Peck was third on.

Wendy Walker, with 37 points, was the winner of the Ladies Individual Stableford on Wednesday; Chris Lewis was second with 33, while Elizabeth Ratcliffe came third with 32

In the 9-hole stableford, three players returned with 18 points, so countback came into play. Joan Dovey won, Gwen Cavill claimed second, and Hazel Percy was third.
