Bridgwater United Women eased their relegation fears with a comfortable win over Bournemouth Sports on Sunday (November 10).

The Robins were on a high going into the game after progressing in the FA Cup and that momentum drove them forward in this game.

Bridgwater United made one change from that win over Torquay United with Hollie Tappin coming in for Kayleigh Spiers.

The Robins made a fast start to the game and took the lead on 16 minutes when Ella Mae Miller sent in a corner which was defended but not totally cleared and Connie Pengelly took advantage to score.

The home side continued to dominate the first half, but ultimately it remained 1-0 at half time.

Bridgewater United doubled their lead on 54 minutes when Miller drove forward with the ball and played it to Tappin on the wing whose cross was converted by Pengelly.

Miller then got on the scoresheet herself, hitting a shot with power which clipped the post and went into the net.

Their next match will be against Southampton Women away from home on Sunday, November 17.
