Riza Terzi was the winner of Saturday’s Pro Shop Stableford that took place at Enmore Park Golf Club with 40 points, two ahead of Alex Eckland who claimed second place with 38, while Adrian Tew was third on 36. Sadly the recent bad weather has put paid to any further competitive golf at Enmore Park Golf Club.
Last week the Club hosted its third monthly Sedgemoor FM breakfast networking meeting, welcoming over 40 local businesses.
This month’s meeting featured a presentation by Barry Forster, Enmore Park’s General Manager, who shared insights into the club’s history, its current challenges as a business, and its evolving focus on local business partnerships and engaging with the community.

Barry highlighted that while Enmore Park is well-regarded among golfers in the Southwest, it remains less familiar to those outside the sport. He told those present: “Our primary source of income is our members, but trends show that recruitment and retention are becoming increasingly challenging. That’s why we’ve been focusing on creating business partnerships and positioning our venue as a place for everyone to enjoy—whether it’s for coffee, lunch, or a special event—not just golfers.”
Local businesses are now using Enmore Park for meetings, team outings, and corporate events, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Barry’s presentation reinforced the club’s commitment to becoming a hub for the entire community, ensuring its future growth and sustainability.
Meanwhile Enmore Park is supporting the Sedgemoor FM Tonne of Tins Campaign and becoming a drop-off point for donations. There is ample free parking and a lovely relaxing lounge bar that people can enjoy whilst making their donations, offering teas, coffees, cakes, snacks, breakfast and lunchtime meals. The clubhouse is open from 10am every weekday morning and 9am at weekends and closes at 5pm.
If anyone wishes to use the excellent facilities at Enmore Park Golf Club to host an event however small or large please contact Barry Forster General Manager on 01278 672100 ext. 4 or email manager@enmorepark.co.uk
