ON a blustery afternoon Venus played away to Robins. Venus, with a brilliant start to the game, grasped an early lead of 9-7. Going into the second quarter with a slightly altered line up, Venus maintained a steady dominance of the court.

Chris Shaw fed precise balls into the circle, which were consistently converted by Hannah Symes. As the game play picked up so did the wind but timely interceptions and awareness from Michelle Stone allowed Venus to sustain a lead of five goals going into the last 15 minutes.

In the last quarter Venus fought hard to pull away a victory. However, this was matched by the opposition and Venus soon lost their early advantage, allowing Robins to creep into Venus' lead and steal a win from under their feet.

The final score was 34-32 to Robins. The player of match award was shared by Shaw, Symes and Stone.
