SAPPHIRES met Quantock mid week and had a good game from the start.
Increased confidence in the shooting circle enabled Sapphires to take a slight lead, with good feeding from Laura Coombes and Katie Ball.
Defensively, Debbie Chapman and Karen Lewis continue to build their partnership against strong opponents. Interceptions were plentiful and the resulting movement and passing down the court helped Sapphires to a 46 – 33 win.
Nic Hale (GS) deserved the player of the match award.
