RUBIES played with a different combination but settled to their task quickly.
A close first half saw only one goal in it to half time – 15 – 14 in Rubies favour.
An excellently defended third quarter from Rachael Coles, Sue Bushnell and Clare Tottle restricted Queensway to just one goal, while Rubies’ accurate shots took the score to 22 – 15.
A positive final quarter from the whole team, with calm and accurate passing and shooting, took the final score to a Rubies win 31 – 21. Clare Tottle was voted player of the match.
