GARNETS had a good and competitive game against Monmouth from Taunton.

Once again, a change of line-up took place due to unavailability, bringing Trudy McDowell and daughter Roxy into the shooting circle.

Once nerves settle down, Megan Walford and Jo Hall started to place some great balls into the circle.

Good strong play by both teams but slightly better movement from Monmouth, took them into the third quarter marginally ahead of Garnets – 16 -12.

A determined third quarter from the defensive trio Megan Reid-Prescott, Addie Moran and Kim Lawrence affected their partners confidence, and Garnets shooters reduced the deficit with nicely taken shots to go into the final quarter with just a two-goal deficit.

The final quarter brought out the strong determination of the Garnets players, who continued to work hard to level the score with less than a minute to go.

Neither team could gain the advantage with the remaining seconds, and the score ended level at 24 all.

The player of the match award went to Addie Moran, who had an outstanding game at GD.
