THE SOMERSET Intermediate Cup Fourth Round saw a marvellous result for the TDSFL, with four of the five teams in the round making it through to the quarter finals - North Petherton, Sampford Blues, Staplegrove Reserves and Hamilton Hawks with Stogursey being the only one to lose out.

North Petherton had a convincing 6-0 victory over Newbridge from Bath with Craig Wright netting a hat trick and Brady Hart, James Baker and Mark Mantyk all adding one each.

Stogursey lost out 1-3 to Westend from Weston with Ryan Chidgey getting their goal from the penalty spot.

In Division One, Middlezoy Rovers have applied to go senior next season, but to achieve their ambitions they have to finish in the top two - so a 3-1 victory over Alcombe Rovers saw them on target.

The wind controlled this game with it blowing directly down the pitch, Rovers went in at the interval 3-0 up with the wind on their backs, Dan Luce scored two and Shaun Turner the other.

After the break Alcombe came into their own with Darren Sherring scoring twice but sadly for him one was disallowed.

Highbridge Town and Predators shared the points in a high scoring 4-4 draw, on target for the away side were Gary Head with two, one from the penalty spot, Lee Oparowski and Matthew Washer.

Old hand Wayne got two for Town, Chris Jays and Pete Thomson added one each.

Locomotives shunted aside Cannington Colts with a 3-0 win. Two goals came from Tom Edwards and one from James Weaver.

In Division Two there was no score between Bridgwater Sports Reserves and Appletree.

Minhead Reserves and Wyvern Rangers got a goal a piece with a 1-1 draw, Greg Howard and James Osborne scoring for their respective team.

It was the same score between Watchet Town Reserves and Nether Stowey with Joe Reynard and Kev Warre netting.

Division Three saw Wembdon Saints remain unbeaten after 15 League games with a 6-0 away win at Redgate, Jake Collard scored three, John Doyle two and the other from Jason Hitchcock.

Middlezoy Rovers are also opening up a gap on those below them following their 4-0 away win at Sydenham Rangers.

They were three up by half time, Craig Lazenby scored two, Martin Portlock and Simon Bone added one each.

There was an exciting game at Norton Fitzwarren when they eventually came out 4-3 victors over Bridgwater Sports Colts.

Craig Paige opened the scoring for Norton scoring direct from a corner and Josh Radford hit a screamer to make it 2-0.

But Sports came back level and in fact took the lead with goals from Cameron Reilly, Josh Champion and Gary Howes but Josh got his side level again before player manager Kev Smith got the winner with a last minute header.

Highbridge Town Reserves came away from Taunton with a 3-0 win over Old Inn All Stars, Ben King, Kev Watts and Paul Cook all scoring.

Alcombe Rovers Reserves are still top of Division Four after their 4-2 home win over Westonzoyland Reserves.

Matthew Lawrence and Gareth Morgan got one each aided and abetted by Brian Buggy and Roland Gaborik who also both scored, Ash Clapp and Liam Tomlinson responded for Westonzoyland.

Exmoor Rangers picked up their third win of the season with a 3v0 away win at Nether Stowey.

Damian Redman got two goals and Nick Baker one.

Rhode Lane Wanderers went down 2-4 at home against Milverton Rangers, Ricky Hill and Matthew Patrick scored and Ross Sweeney hit a pair for Rangers, Peter Chapman and Callum David added one each.

James Nutt scored both Staplegrove Colts goals in their 2-1 victory over Norton Fitzwarren Reserves for whom Ed Phillips scored a close range header from a Liam Bleeks cross.

Gallery are back to winning ways and beat North Petherton Reserves 3-2 in Division Five. Stand-in skipper Scott Capell scored one and Jake Crocker came off the bench to add two more with Gary Barnes and Francis Trout both scoring for Pethy.

Merry Monk on the other hand still have ambitions of catching Blagdon and a 10-0 win over Bridgwater Grasshoppers was just what they wanted.

Tim Dyke was the days leading marksman with four goals, George Dowse-Brenan added two with Kev Jones, Simon Dyke, Dan Pepperell and Leigh Parsons all adding one each
