THIS game was similar to the previous week when Morganians played top-of-the-table Castle Cary.

Morganians got in some good tackles but were unable to stem the Wells backs, who always seemed to have the overlap.

By half-time, Wells had run in six tries, converting three.

At the break, changes were made to utilise Morganians’ substitutes, with Jeremy McBain, Jason Richards and Drew Pierce coming off for Paul Grimstead, Simon Faber and John Winter.

Not long into the half, one of the Wells second row dislocated and broke a leg in a ruck. The game was stopped for 20 minutes for an ambulance to attend and the club understands he is on the way to recovery following an operation.

The referee shortened the half and Morganians improved, with Wells scoring and converting once. A forwards try was scored by Roy Grimstead but it was not converted.

Morganians are at home to Crewkerne on Saturday.
