A SYDENHAM teenager has been awarded a certificate and badge following a gruelling national schoolboy boxing championship in Bristol.
Western counties champion Josh Nobbs, 14, lost to John Cooper on points at the quarter finals title bout at Broadplain Boxing Academy.
But Josh showed he had heart and continued to keep throwing combos back, despite Cooper pushing forward. Cooper, from Southampton, began to tire and Josh used his fitness advantage to weave in and out.
However, after three hard rounds, Josh could not do enough to win the title.
