Bridgwater were looking for a much-needed win against a strong Yeovil and Sherbourne team.

The visitors started off slowly as Yeovil and Sherbourne looked to gain advantage and move away from the bottom of the table.

Despite having a stronger midfield, the home side struggled with a few breaks that Bridgwater could amass in the opening ten minutes, with Rawles and Turner being able to drive down the wings.

Cook and Whitehead came close to scoring for Bridgwater and Davidge and Pigden held things together in midfield during a ten-minute period.

But Yeovil took advantage of some defensive and umpiring decisions to score two quick goals.

Bridgwater came out determined to score in the second half but pushing Cook, Whitehead, Davidge, Turner and Durking forward meant they were left exposed a the back.

Yeovil and Sherbourne were slightly stronger and scored tow further goals.

The game became open, with tempers flaring, and Pigden and Rawles did their best in the middle to help the defence.

Two short corners in the final ten minutes gave Yeovil and Sherbourne a 6-0 win.
