North Petherton seconds travelled to their Tor counterparts looking for their seventh consecutive win and keep their promotion hopes alive.

The visitors started the stronger of the two sides with their forwards dominating all facets of the game.

Chris Richards opened the scoring with a typical surging run off the back of a dominate scrum. Pearce missed the conversion.

Pearce then slotted a penalty to give North Petherton an 8-0.

Richards scored another try with Pearce adding the extra two points.

Centre Dan Steward was next on the score sheet following another period of pressure on the Tor 22, but the conversion is missed.

Richards finished the half scoring with his third try and the additional two points were missed again.

North Petherton attacked Tor in the second half but it was the home side that rattled their opponents with a charging try scored by a player running the length of the pitch.

North Petherton weathered the storm and hit back with tries from Steve Potter and a brilliant team move that was finished off superbly by wing and skipper Ben Williams, Oscar Tregenna converted.

Andrew Tew rounded off the scoring with a try.

North Petherton are away to Morganians on Saturday.

NORTH Petherton's win over Wellington started slow in an error strewn first half.

The half ended 0-0 but Wellington came out in the second half with more desire and took the lead with a breakaway try, which was converted.

North Petherton were sparked into life and scored two quick tries through Stenson and Winter, both converted by Sutherland-Earl.
