Bridgwater Town boss Rob Dray hailed his side’s win over Bideford last night – and is looking for a good performance over next opponents Paulton Rovers.

The Robins made the trip to North Devon last night with virtually the same squad that put four goals past North Leigh on Saturday, and the players produced the goods with a deserved 2-0 win.

Dray told the Mercury: “It has been a good week to ten days for us.

“We’ve won again, played some very good stuff at a difficult place to go, but we look forward to these times of the season.

“We worked really hard and showed the levels we are capable of rising to.”

Bridgwater Town travel to Paulton Rovers on Saturday and Dray is looking to keep the momentum running against a side in poor form in the Zamaretto League Division One South and West.

He added: “They have a big budget on the back of their FA Cup run last season but we have won three in four games and will have a good go at them.

“We are keeping clean sheets and defending as eight. We are feeling good at the moment and the atmosphere around the club is buzzing.

“We are going to keep our heads down as we are getting to the point where we are not going to go down if we get a couple more wins under our belts – we want to finish as high as we possibly can.”
