DESPITE a 4-0 victory over Minehead only days before, Bridgwater put in a poor performance against Mangotsfield on Saturday.
Bridgwater dominated the first half and had plenty of possession but lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.
The game picked up tempo in the second half and with only 15 minutes to go, Mangotsfield opened the scoring. But Lewis Irish equalised only minutes later pouncing on a goalkeeping error.
However, with only five minutes to go, Mangotsfield notched the winner from a deflected header.
Manager Jason Bale said: “It was a disappointing game. We never really got started and it was a lacklustre performance.”
Bridgwater play Nailsea tonight (Tuesday) and at Clevedon on Saturday.
Bale added: “The last time we played Clevedon at home we should have won. Hopefully, if we take our chances, we will get a result.”
