THIS was Petherton’s final league fixture and they finished on a high beating second-placed Wellington.
Petherton looked the more likely to open the scoring and they did after 15 minutes when Keegan Griffiths scored his eighth goal of the season with a well-struck shot from outside the box. Sam Turner then scored a penalty after Andrew Blake was fouled.
Wellington equalised with ten minutes to go but, in a last-gasp effort, Ryan Walker sent over a teasing corner which evaded everyone except Kunc, who threw himself at the ball to score the winner.
