PETHERTON kept a clean sheet for the first time this season in their match against Minehead.
Some robust play by Callum Fitchew, Ben Williams and Brandon Woods kept Petherton moving forward.
The first 15 minutes was very scrappy with neither team being able to show their skills.
Petherton scored in the 18th minute after a break by the backs and an offload to Tom who powered his way over, Ben Freeman converted from out wide. Just before half time Brandon scored another after good work by Joe, who returned after an eight-week lay off.
The second half was nearly all Pethy who began to play a little rugby but all too often the game went from one set piece to another, Petherton scored a further three tries and record a convincing win without a putting in a convincing performance.
