HAWKRIDGE Fly Fishing Club’s new season gets underway on Monday.

Fishing prices remain the same as last year with a day ticket costing £18, day concessions £15 and evening tickets £10.

A book of six is available from the ranger at Hawkridge for £90, concessions £78. Season tickets start on Wednesday.

The season starts at Sutton Bingham, Yeovil on Monday; moves on to Clatworthy, Wiveliscombe on Tuesday; and arrives at Hawkridge, near Bridgwater, on Wednesday.

Season tickets for these waters are £400 each with a 200 fish limit; all other prices remain the same as last year.

Hawkridge Fly Fishing Club is holding its first match on Sunday (March 20) from 8am until 2pm. Any new members who wish to join or take part can contact club chairman Bob Palmer on 07855-580105 or turn up before 7.30am at Hawkridge car park.

Any new members will be given free tuition in fly fishing. Hawkridge also has eight matches from March to October on a monthly basis, besides boat matches which are also held throughout the year.
