TIGER Old Boys drew first blood in the Bill Brown Cup group A by beating Quantock Pride 5-2.
Ian Bellinger’s brace and goals from Adam Long, Luke Selway and Josh Champion, which was a superb solo effort, earned the Tigers the win.
In the same group, Will Pope scored for Cannington in their 1-1 draw with Flag Old Boys.
A Piers Govier hat-trick helped Malt Shovel thump Woolavington 6-1 in group B. John Plowright scored twice and Paul Organ once for Maltshovel.
Division 1 leaders Red Tile came from behind to earn a thrilling 5-4 win over Abbey Moor.
Abbey Moor were 2-0 up at one stage before Damon Jennings, Mike Hart, Andy Smith, Jack Taylor and Scott Capel netted for Red Tile. Craig Chant notched a hat-trick and Connor Richards pitched in with one goal for Abbey Moor.
In Division 2, Blake OB continued their march to the title with a 2-1 win away to Maxwells. A 20-yard volley and a Jamie Winter goal gave Blake OB the win. James Leader scored Maxwells’ goal.
Ramblers fell to a 5-0 home defeat against Middlezoy. Their goals came through Grant Purchase’s hat-trick and a Nathan Barnard brace.
Sammy Godfrey scored a brace to give NM Sports a 2-0 win over Puriton.
Grasshoppers beat Admirals 2-0 thanks to Dan Saunders and Chris Harman.
