WEMBDON secured an emphatic win over Bridgwater Wolves thanks to clinical finishing.
The home side enjoyed a host of goalmouth action but failed to take their opportunities.
Wolves played with ten men and a makeshift goalkeeper in the form of defender Charlie Hill, and Wembdon took the lead with their first attack and nearly made it two soon after.
Hill played well in goal but Wembdon were soon two ahead, and scored another with a well-taken goal from outside the area.
Wolves’ Matty Hall scored his first goal of the season but Wembdon scored another five goals without reply.
Heathfield 9, Bridgwater Wolves 1 WOLVES did all the attacking and it was no surprise when they went into the lead with a brilliant shot from Jake Sharman from well outside the area.
Heathfield settled down and started playing some good football.
Their equaliser was lucky but they quickly followed that up with four more goals in the first half.
Wolves came out for the second half and were unlucky not to add to their score, with Brad Hayes, Sam Anthony and Jake Sharman working well leading to a corner which Matty Hall almost scored from.
At the other en,d despite Liam Temlett doing a good job in goal, Heathfield scored a further four goals.
