ENMORE Primary School boasts the best girls table tennis team in the land – it’s official!
Hannah Setter, Juste Mockeliunaite, Charlotte Setter and Chloe Arlow won the English Schools National Championships at Hinckley in Leicestershire.
The girls beat Bradley Primary School, from Nelson, in Lancashire, 6-2, before triumphing 8-0 in their next two matches, against schools from Askam-in Furness, Cumbria, and Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.
The girls were helped along by their lucky charms – four knitted mascots described as “chicken-ducks”, which the girls placed on the umpire’s table for each of their matches.
In total, Juste and Hannah won five matches, while Charlotte and Chloe each won six.
