THREE female students from Bridgwater College are due to complete their NVQ courses in football coaching, teaching and instructing, later this year.
Ashton Warren, aged 16, and 17-year-olds Abigail Payne and Chloe Stringer, are also taking the FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
All three coach in local clubs and are being mentored by the FA Female Mentoring Scheme in partnership with the Somerset FA.
Coaching tutor Andy Gill said: “This is quite an achievement for these students and we are delighted to have such positive role models for younger students coming through the college.
“Furthermore, we were delighted to hear that Chloe was recently selected as a British Colleges Sport/FA Football Coach Scholar.
“This is a very prestigious role, through which Chloe will receive support from a mentor and have access to a wide range of training opportunities to support her development as a young budding coach.”
