TIGER Old Boys booked their place in the semi-finals of the Bill Brown Cup with a resounding 5-0 win at home to Woolavington.

Ryan Weston bagged a brace and Chris Taylor, Ian Bellinger and Paul Hooper each pitched in with a goal.

Flag Old Boys and Abbey Moor played out a ten-goal thriller but it was Abbey Moor who recorded the 6-4 win. On target for Flag Old boys were Tim Ridgement, two, Martyn Allen from the penalty spot and Jamie Steward.

Maltshovel kept their hopes of silverware alive by beating Cannington 3-1. Keir Meaker, two, and Paul Organ scored for Maltshovel while Will Pope earned Cannington’s only goal.

In Division 2, Blake OB stole all three points five minutes from the end of their 1-0 win over Grasshoppers when Simon Newbury popped up at the back post to head home.

The result leaves them close to taking the title but they will have to wait until either NM Sports drop points from their remaining fixtures or if they win their final fixture.

In another high-scoring game, Knowle drew 4-4 with Middlezoy. On target for Knowle were Pete Boot, Dale Curtis, Rob McKinlay and Jon Adams.

Maxwells were on the receiving end of a 5-0 defeat at home to NM Sports. A Bobby Hughes brace and goals from Jake Collard, Scott Harman and Sammy Godfrey sealed the win.

A bullet header from Dan Pattenden helped Huntspill to a much-needed 2-1 win against Ramblers. Simon Massingham scored Huntspill’s first goal.

New Foresters maintained their third place position with a 5-2 win over Admirals. Leighton Davies was the star man as he scored a hat trick and Simon Chidgey and Nathan Fouracres scored one each.

Highburn and Puriton played out a 1-1 draw. Martin Robins scored for Highburn while Craig Durant was on target for Puriton.
