CAPTAIN Amy Burridge called for a concerted effort to ensure the win against White Eagles, who were sitting just above Bridgwater in the table.

Bridgwater started with confidence and dominated possession and territory.

Millie Burridge helped keep possession and forced a corner but, against the run of play, Bridgwater allowed a strong drive from a White Eagles player to score.

Kath Briggs moved into the attack and White Eagles had to contend with fast passing and determined tackling.

In the second half, Hazel scored a beautiful strike to equal the scores from a short corner.

Bridgwater made changes, with Emma Hill moving into attack, and this allowed Julie Reed to get into the D and onto the end of a pass to slot it past the goalkeeper.

The Bridgwater defence soaked up the pressure in the final ten minutes to hold on to the win.

Players of the match: Hazel and Julie.
