DESPITE good individual performances Bridgwater were on the wrong side of a high scoring match.
Bridgwater soon went two goals down before replies from Ben Stone and George Puplett brought them level. However, parity was short lived as Minehead scored just before halftime to restore lead.
In the second Minehead stretched their advantage to three but it was only good tackling from Steve Peters, Alan Baldwin and Mike James and a man of the match performance from keeper Bayley Chatwin that stopped it being even more.
With Jamie Fudge, Tyler Fagan and James Facey making good runs from midfield, Ben Squires and debutant Ryan Searle came close pulling a goal back. Bridgwater were finally rewarded as they scored from a well worked short corner.
Under the captaincy of Geoff Banham and with a mixture of youth, experience and enthusiasm Bridgwater 5th can look forward to a more successful campaign next season.
