WITH the end of the season in sight the ladies 2nds met Taunton Civil service on a sunny Saturday determined to keep building on the strong play of previous weeks.
The game saw Bridgwater start strongly and the Civil Service keeper kept several shots at bay but Kath Briggs persevered and finally popped the ball over the line.
The Bridgwater defence had to keep concentrating as Civil Service kept forcing the play with clever linking passes. The warm weather told a little but Bridgwater kept working hard.
Both goalkeepers were called to make great saves but a fine set of moves saw Bridgwater secure the win with a second. Bridgwater go to Burnham on Saturday.
