ENMORE Primary School returned home happy from the Butterfly National School Team Championship in Hinckley.
Thirty two teams representing schools from around the country did battle in four age categories in boys and girls competitions.
Enmore went one better last year after being crowned under 11 girls champions. Last year’s runners up kept three team members and their previous experience helped them to lift the trophy for the first time.
It could have been a different result had their number one Juste Mockeliunaite not rearranged a family holiday so she could join her team mates in Hinckley.
Juste won five of her six matches as did Hannah Setter, both of them losing out to the undefeated Aminah Daar from Bradley Primary; however Charlotte Setter and Chloe Arlow also remained undefeated for Enmore.
Enmore’s girls, pictured here with their cups, proved too strong for Askham Village Primary School and Chalfont St Peter Church of England School defeating them both by 8-0 and ensured the title was theirs beating Bradley Primary 6-2.
